I painted this from a photograph taken in late winter, when the snow was melting and the fields were muddy. This was done on canvas board, which was very different for me. It gives a blended quality with a lot of soft edges.
So, maybe you have noticed that I have posted three paintings in the last three days. I didn't want to say anything, but, I'm going for 30 paintings in 30 days. I'll go for 30 days and then see if I can continue. I'm already exhausted, but having a blast. Wish me luck!
I have to paint everyday. I've known that's what I've needed to do. If I don't paint for a week it is so hard to get back into it, I find myself with major painters block. So, I'm committed (I say that for myself more than anyone else. You know it's that motivational thing.)
Where I live, there is this cute little consignment shop and I often go there to look for items to paint. This time I came across some "Fiestaware" that caught my eye. When I went to pay for it the lady said "Oh, I see you have some Fiestaware". Now, I didn't even know what "Fiestaware" was, I just thought the cup and saucer was cute. I just nodded my head and said "Sure do!"
